Semperfli Kapok Dry Fly Dubbing

Kapok fibers come from a plant that grows across the tropics, and it has been used for many years in making life jackets and life boats. Kapok fibers are extremely fine and can dub very tight bodies, yet the fibers are naturally hollow and have been said to support up to 30 times their weight in water. Semperfli uses a unique dyeing process to achieve a variety of great colors, and we're really excited about the possibilities for increasing buoyancy in tiny dry flies.
For best flotation, Semperfli recommends dubbing with a split thread technique to avoid crushing the hollow fibers.
