Montana Bullet

The Montana Bullet is about as simple as nymphs come, but it is incredibly deadly. Bucky designed the fly to be the perfect dropper nymph: quick and easy to tie, generic enough to imitate a variety of insects, and heavy enough to sink well without additional weight. The combination of tungsten bead, UV resin, and an extra heavy hook really get this fly down quickly, which makes a huge difference when fishing a dry-dropper rig. That being said, it works equally well on other setups, too, so if you are more into two-nymph rigs or Euro-style fishing, be sure to give it a try with those methods as well.
