Hot Vac

The Hot Vac is Bucky’s spin on the classic Shop Vac nymph, which was designed by our friend Rowan Nyman. The overall profile is the same, but with a handful of tweaks that really add to an already proven pattern. Pheasant tail never goes out of style, and Bucky kept the slim P.T. body as the base for the fly, but added a thread hot spot in the front for a bit of pop in the water, and swapped in EP Sculpt-A-Fly Fibers for the wing to add some subtle but still noticeable flash for a little extra attraction. Add in a copper tungsten bead and copper wire for good measure, and you’ve got a Shop Vac on steroids that will catch fish day in and day out.
