The Amplitude MPX is a great all-around line choice. The aggressive half-line-size heavy taper concentrates a lot of mass at the front end of the line to turn over heavy nymph rigs and streamers, but it can still handle throwing large and medium sized dries, too. It's great for pocket-water rivers like the Madison and Gallatin, where shorts cast are the norm and that heavy head will load your rod quickly and efficiently without much line out.
