The success of the color purple has been well-documented over the years, particularly the last decade or so. Fish just seem to eat it, and the Purple Haze is one of the most successful purple flies out there. It's visible, floats well, and is durable, making it a staple in nearly every trout fisherman's box. We fish them all summer long all across Yellowstone country!
