Melanistic pheasants are a ringneck pheasant with a color mutation. These beautiful feathers have an iridescent green to black hue similar to starling. The rump feathers are great for larger spey type soft hackles, while the remainder of the skin can be used for a variety of soft hackles along with pectoral fins on baitfish patterns.
