The Longhorn Beetle is arguably our best-selling terrestrial pattern. It represents a large meal much like a hopper, but has a profile just different enough that fish will take it readily even when they shy away from all the usual hopper patterns that they get bombarded with all summer. It is particularly killer on cutthroat streams like Slough, Lamar, and Soda Butte, but don't sleep on it when fishing other local rivers like the Madison, Gallatin, and Yellowstone.
