Patrick grew up on the Salmon River in Moodus, CT where he caught his first trout at the age of 3 and has been obsessed ever since! Patrick picked up his first fly rod at the age of 14 and started working at his local fly shop, North Cove Outfiiters, in 1996. It was of the best experiences of his life and solidified his passion and love for fishing and guiding. Before moving to Montana at the age of 27, he fished along the Connecticut coast for stripers, blues, false albacore, bonito and Spanish mackerel. His most memorable fish was a 43” cow striper caught from shore with a 10wt, 500 grain sink tip and a 13” bunker fly. “I made cast after cast for two weeks without a bite but finally one night I got her and when I let her go that memory was forever seared in my mind!” Patrick started guiding for Blue Ribbon in 2005. When Patrick is not guiding he can be found fishing and testing out his many unique and very effective fly patterns. Patrick is also an Umpqua Feather Merchants Signature Fly Designer and a volunteer firefighter for the Madison Valley Rural Fire Department. During the winter months Patrick guides skiing at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky Montana.
