CF Burkheimer DAL Vintage Series

Most rods are made to order by Burkheimer, so please allow six to eight weeks for delivery. However, we do stock limited models in the shop. If you would like to order a model we do not stock, please give us a call at 406-646-7642.

These trout rods are light in hand, and heavy in performance. If they don’t cast 80 feet with good turnover right after they dropped a fly on a quarter at 25, they’re not Burkheimers. Kerry wants to build you a rod that you’re proud to fish with, because you deserve it, and the trout deserve it. Vintage series rods feature a black blank with smoked hard wear and California Buckeye reel seat. The Deep Action Load (DAL) series of rods were designed for the caster who prefers a more relaxed stroke. These rods offer full flexing blanks, firm tips and fast recovery. These rods have a Black Walnut Insert in the reel seat instead of the California Buckeye.
