This tiny soft hackle is absolutely killer when Baetis mayflies are active. Many anglers overlook soft hackles when trying to match smaller hatches, but this little fly will get the job done. It works well on the swing, and it's also deadly when dead drifted in the film to rising trout. Baetis live almost everywhere trout do, so make sure you've got a few in your box the next time you head out in spring or fall.
