Positioned on the edge of the Pacific and Central flyway, Hebgen Lake receives a healthy dose of migratory waterfowl each fall.

In addition to migrating ducks and geese, October is also the height of the fall brown trout run. Shooting birds over decoys in the mornings and evenings, and catching spawners in the afternoon is a fall combination that’s hard to beat.
