Hair just might be the most important material to today's fly tier.  The uses for deer and elk hair alone are limitless.  From Sparkle Duns to X-Caddis and Stimulator wings, hundreds of patterns have been built around these indespensible materials.  Having high quality hair that, because of its characteristics, has been chosen for certain purposes can make all of the difference between a perfect fly and a frustrating mess. 

We have always been fanatical about hair here at BRF.  For more than 20 years, we have prided ouselves in having the best hair available anywhere!  Every year we sort through dozens of deer, elk, caribou, antelope, and moose hides looking for the perfect hair.  We choose only the premium hides and cut those hides into generous pieces which are then high graded by quality and tying function.  Every piece of hair at BRF has been han-picked by fly tiers for fly tiers!
