New terrestrials are important. Fish respond to new and different flies, and this is a classic example. This foam fly will take trout in late summer when they won't even look at a hopper any more.
Size:

Foam Beetle $ 2.25
One of the most important terrestrials, beetles are a major food source for the Yellowstone area's trout. Our Guides love this fly, because the foam floats high, and as everyone knows, trout can't resist a crunchy little beetle. It's like trout candy!

Mini Tiger Beetle $ 2.25
For years we have told visiting anglers not to discount the effectiveness of small terrestrials like beetles over larger, more celebrated hopper and cricket imitations. Well, the fear of redundancy has never been much of an issue for us.
Size:

Mr. T $ 2.25
The most important caddis activity occurs in the evenings when the greasy glare on the water's surface makes visibility the most challenging. The Mr. T is the most visible, realistic caddis pattern we have used in the evening glare.
Size:

Nick's Fur Ant $ 2.25
These are Nick's very own go-to ants. Traditional dubbed body with hackle at the waist, these fur ants are simply deadly. A must have for August terrestrial fishing on the Madison or Slough Creek.
Size: Color:

Oecetis Crippled Caddis $ 2.25
Caddis emergences are always at the top of the list of the most important hatches in Yellowstone Country, and 2004 was no exception. One of the caddis highlights was a strong emergence of Oecetis. The Firehole boasted the strongest Oecetis of the area.
Size:

Old Yeller Sally $ 2.25
Every year we see tremendous egg laying flights of yellow sallies on the Madison, Henry's Fork, and Firehole. This tiny stonefly can easily go unnoticed by anglers. However, for the observant fisherman, yellow sallies can provide consistent action.

Size:

Nick's Sunken Stone $ 2.99
Do not let the name fool you. This is the ultimate in effectiveness and durability for a dry stonefly imitation. Tied for golden stones and salmonflies, this is the first choice of all our guides. We regularly sell out of this fly, and for good reason.

Size:

White X Caddis $ 2.25
The #16 White X Caddis is an unorthodox tie of our standard X patterns but with an addition of hackle. This allows the fly to skitter and move like the naturals it imitates on the Firehole when Nectopsyche species caddis are emerging and egg-laying.
Size:

X2-Caddis $ 2.25
The caddis formerly know as the Improved X-Caddis. We brought you the X-caddis, and now we bring you the improved version. Hey, we don't let anything lie around, even a proven producer like the X.
